I’ve had a good learning experience this week that I’d like to share. I have added five affiliate links to the sidebar of my Work From Home Blog. I will go through the process of how I setup these links.

My first step was to go to the Clickbank Marketplace. One of the wonderful things about Clickbank is that it is free to join.

Once you are in the Marketplace you are asked to enter keywords for the product you want to sell. For my keywords I typed in “work at home” I also used “on-line jobs.” Using these keywords I noticed quite a few home-based jobs crop up to choose from.

I selected five on-line job opportunities. During the process of making my selection, I viewed the pitch page for each of the five products, making sure I liked the quality of the product. Once I was satisfied I clicked on the “create hoplink” link.

From here I gave my hoplink nickname and pressed, “create.” The information I received back for each of the products was my unique clickbank hoplink ID. I copied and pasted this info on to a notepad. I did this for each of the five products.

Now at this point I am ready to cloak each of my five clickbank hoplinks so when they appear in the browser there is no connection to clickbank URLs. Cloaking is necessary for two reasons. The first reason: If a buyer sees or recognizes a clickbank hoplink URL they generally pass it by. For some reason shoppers/buyers tend to want to buy straight from the publisher of the product rather than go through an affiliate.

The second reason: Unfortunately, there are hijackers out there in cyberspace that would just love to steal your clickbank hoplink URL. They just delete your hoplink and add their own taking with them your profits. So these are two very good reasons to cloak your hoplink.

The best cloaking method I know of is My Affiliate Assistant. If you are a member of NZPCS Million Dollar Blueprint you will have access to this cloaking software as a free download. It is very easy to use and when finished your URL will be disguised and placed in a recommends folder until ready for use. This folder must be transferred via FTP to your server host.
